Desert Medicine Research Centre, Jodhpur is a one of the 32 Institutes/ Centers of Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), an autonomous body under the Department of Health Research, The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India, New Delhi. DMRC was established in 1984 with the mandate to 

 Undertake and promote research on health problems specific to desert areas. 
 Study the changing patterns of health problems especially in view of various developmental activities taking place in the region. 
 Strengthen the scientific and technical expertise of the state level as well as local health agencies.

The following posts are to be filled up on contract basis (purely temporary basis) initially for a period up to 11 months under the various projects. 

Project Name: “Screening of Tribal population in blocks having high prevalence for Sickle Cell Anemia (SCA) in Tribal Sub Plan Districts of Rajasthan and implementation of intervention/counseling to affected population with existing health system (Phase II)” 

1. POST: Project Assistant: 03 posts (2-UR, 1-ST). 

Age Limit: Not exceeding, 30 years. 

Salary: Rs. 31,000/- per month (Consolidated). 

Essential Qualifications: : Graduate in Life Science from a recognized university with three years work experience from a recognized institution or Master’s degree in Life Sciences/BioTechnology/ Bio-Chemistry/Chemistry from the recognized University. 

Nature of job: To assist in execution of research studies which will include field survey work also and any other work assigned

Candidates possessing the above qualifications may attend for walk-in-written test / Personal discussion at DMRC campus, Jodhpur. They should report at Desert Medicine Research Centre, New Pali Road, Jodhpur -342 005 at the below given date and time. 

Project Assistant: 13/08/2017 at 10:30 AM Technician –III: 14/08/2017 at 10:30 AM. Those appearing for walk-in- written test/ personal discussion should bring with them (1) All Certificates/ Testimonials in Original. (2) One attested copy each of the Certificate/ Testimonial. General condition: The appointment will be on contract basis and no other regular service benefits will be admissible. The candidate will not have any right to claim for any regular employment at DMRC/ICMR etc. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the Walk-in-Written Test/ Walk-in-Personal Discussion.
