Application are invited for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) to work in the DST-SERB,
Government of India, New Delhi sponsored Major Research Project entitled “Immunization of
tomato for resistance against biotic stress mediated by Trichoderma strains and elucidation
of signaling pathways” for the period of one year i.e. 31-03-2018 or till the end of the project.
Job Description: Selected candidates should assist the Principal Investigator and carry out the
research experiments under the scientific supervision of the Principal Investigator and also to
work in a research team.
Qualification for JRF: M.Sc. Microbiology/ Biotechnology/ Botany/ Applied Botany with a
minimum of 55%. NET/GATE/SLET/Ph.D qualified candidates with research experience in
Molecular Plant Pathology/ Biotechnology/ Molecular Biology/ Microbiology Techniques and
Field work experiences will be preferred.
Note: If suitable candidates are not available for the JRF, then the post will be converted to the
Project Assistant Level – II for which M.Sc. Microbiology / Biotechnology / Botany/ Applied
Botany/ Life Sciences with a minimum of 55% is essential.
Emoluments:
For JRF: Rs. 25,000/- plus 20% HRA per month.
For Project Assistant Level – II: Rs. 14,000/- per month (consolidated).

The eligible
candidates, for the post will be informed either through phone or by E-mail to appear for an
