Advertisement for One Junior Research Fellow (Project) & one Senior Research Fellow (Project)

Applications are invited for one position of Junior Research Fellow  (JRF) and one position of  Senior Research Fellow (SRF) in DBT funded project titled “Ability of select PGPM strains to remediate Organophosphatepesticides commonly used in agriculture” for a period of three years.

Eligibility Criteria:

The candidates should have completed their Master’s (M.Sc. or M.tech) in Microbiology/ Biotechnology/Biological Sciences/Life Scienceswith a first class at graduate and Undergraduate level. For SRF, a minimum of 2 years of post M.Sc. /M.Tech, research experience and having atleast one published paper in standard refereed journals will be mandatory

Emoluments: The selected candidates may be placed in any of the below categories depending upon qualification, experience and suitability.

1. Junior Research Fellow: as per UGC norms for NET qualified candidates and candidates fromCategory-II merit list of DBT-BET exam; as per Institute (JIIT) norms for Non-NET qualified candidates.
2. Senior Research Fellow: as per UGC norms for NET qualified candidates and candidates fromCategory-II merit list of DBT-BET exam;as per Institute (JIIT) norms for Non-NET qualified candidates

Desired Knowledge:

Candidates should have knowledge of Microbiology techniques, Molecular Biology techniques, skill at operating standard laboratory equipment, hands-on experience with microbial cell cultures in an asceptic environment, good writing skills.

Important Note: Only short listed candidates will be called for interview at Jaypee Institute of Information Technology (JIIT), NOIDA. Interview call letters for shortlisted candidates will be posted by 25th September, 2017. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
