Applications are invited for the post of a Junior Research Fellow (JRF)/Project Fellow (1 No.) and Lab. Assistant (1 No.) to be appointed in a DST-SERB funded major research project entitled “Molecular adaptation during exposure to zinc oxide and titanium dioxide nanoparticles with special reference to oxidative stress, nitric oxide production, expression of heat shock proteins in air-breathing catfish, Clarias batrachus” sanctioned to Prof. N. Saha, Biochemical Adaptation Lab., Department of Zoology, North-Eastern Hill University, Shillong 793022 for a period of three years. Qualification:
- For JRF/Project Fellow:M.Sc. in Zoology/Biochemistry/Biotechnology or M.Tech in Biotechnology with a good knowledge in the field of Biochemistry/Molecular Biology/Animal Physiology. Preference may be given to NET-JRF/GATE qualified candidates.
- For Lab. Assistant:Passed the Class XII examination, has experiences in working in research labs. and knows driving with holding a proper driving license
Emoluments:
- For JRF/Project Fellow: The emoluments shall be Rs. 25,000/- + 20% HRA for the 1st two years as a JRF and Rs. 28,000/- + 20% HRA per month for the 3rd year as a SRF and applicable for the NET-JRF/GATE qualified candidate or for the candidate holding a M.Tech degree, otherwise it shall be Rs. 14,000/- + 20% HRA per month for the 1st two years and Rs. 16,000/- + 20% HRA per month for the 3 rd year as a Project Fellow.
- For Lab. Assistant: Consolidated Rs. 8,000/- per month
