A Walk-in-Interview will be held for temporary position of one (01) Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under
the DBT-Twinning Project entitled “Studies on antimicrobial and anti-biofilm activities of medicinal plant
extracts obtained from North Eastern India against pathogenic bacteria isolated from pigs, cattle and poultry of
NER India: and cattle, poultry and ducks of West Bengal” under Dr. Manabendra Mandal, Professor, Department
of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, Tezpur University. Interested candidates may appear before the
interview board with original and self-attested photocopies of mark sheets, certificates from 10th standard
onwards, testimonials, caste certificate (if applicable), experience certificate, NET/GATE/BET or similar
examination qualifications and a copy of recent signed Curriculum Vitae (CV) on the day of interview. Interested

Essential Qualification: M.Sc./M.Tech. in Microbiology /Biosciences /Molecular Biology
/Biotechnology /Life Science.
Candidates should have minimum 55% mark
throughout the carrier.
Desirable: Preference will be given to the candidates having experience in relevant field.
Fellowship: Rs. 25,000/- (Rupees twenty five thousand) only plus 10% HRA as admissible
per month for 1st and 2nd year and Rs. 28,000/- (Rupees twenty eight thousand)
only plus 10% HRA as admissible per month for 3rd year for candidates with
NET/GATE/BET/BINC qualification or Post Graduate degree in professional
course, otherwise (candidates without NET/GATE/BET/BINC qualification) Rs.
12,000/- (Rupees twelve thousand) only plus 10% HRA as admissible per month
for 1st and 2nd year and Rs. 14,000/- (Rupees fourteen thousand) only plus 10%
HRA as admissible per month for 3rd year.
Age Limit: Candidate shall not be more than 28 years of age on the date of interview. Upper
age limit may be relaxed as per Government of India rules.
Duration: Initially for a period of one (01) year and extendable upto three (03) years or till
completion of the project based on the performance of the candidate or until
further order, whichever is earlier.
No TA/DA will be paid to the candidates for attending the interview.
