HANDS ON TRAINING PROGRAMME ON GAS CHROMATOGRAPHY - MASS SPECTROMETRY (GC-MS) | 30-31 October 2017

HANDS ON TRAINING PROGRAMME ON GAS CHROMATOGRAPHY - MASS SPECTROMETRY (GC-MS)

30th & 31st October 2017

Organized by

Centre for Ocean Research,
Sathyabama University,
Chennai

Gas chromatography - Mass spectrometry is the most sophisticated analytical techniques used to identify and elucidate variety of compounds. It is used for the separation and identification of the volatile and semi-volatile organic compounds in a complex mixture of samples. The Mass spectrometer is an instrument that measures the mass of microscopic particles such as molecules and atoms, from this mass spectrum. It is also used to identify a molecule and quantify the amount of target chemicals in mixture of samples and provides reliable results and is considered the best tool for tracking natural products discovery.

Advantages of the training programme: GC-MS have wide application like Food analysis, Pharma Analysis, Environmental Monitoring and Cleaning, Chemical Industry analysis, etc. Thus the training would be beneficial for the people who are willing to enter the industries which relates to chemicals, pharmaceuticals, food, oils, agriculture, cosmetics, analytical testing laboratories and many others. The training course will cover the practical aspects of Gas Chromatography, Sample Preparation, Method development, Qualitative analysis and Spectral interpretation of GC-MS. The Registration fee includes Training Manual, Certificate, Refreshments and Lunch.

Registration Fee:

For Students/Scholars/Academicians : INR 2000
For Industrial Participants/Other Labs : INR 3500

Mode of Application: Applications are invited from Students, Academicians, Research Scholars, Scientist and Industrial Delegates. For Registration, send the filled in application form (Available in website) to the address or as soft copy to the Email mentioned below.
