The following post is to be filled purely on temporary basis from willing candidates
for the study titled ‘External Quality Assurance and Drug Resistant Survey under RNTCP’,
implemented by this Institute.
Interested candidates fulfilling the required qualification may download the
prescribed application form from the website www.nirt.res.in and walk-in on Wednesday,
the 25th October 2017, 9.00 AM at National Institute for Research in Tuberculosis, 1
Mayor Sathyamoorthy Road, Chetpet, Chennai 600 031, to attend the walk-in-interview
along with original certificate for age, qualification from Matriculation onwards and proof for
certificates of experience, caste certificate if any, with a colour passport size photograph
along with attested copies of relevant certificates and a fee of Rs.100/- drawn in favour of
Director, NIRT, Chennai by way of Demand Draft from any Nationalized banks SC/ST,
physically disabled candidates and women candidates, are exempted from payment of fees,
subject to production of valid certificate.

Consolidated Salary Rs.65,000/- p.m.
Nature of Duties Work under the direct control of the Director / PI of the NRL
Conducting on-site evaluation visits to the States and a sample of
peripheral laboratories
Assist in developing capacity to manufacture panel testing slides.
Ensure Follow up action of CTD/WHO Recommendations
Conducting training for IRL staff for MTB culture and DST.
Ensure smooth conduct of routine laboratory activities of the NRL
including culture / DST
Provide technical support to STDC for strategic planning related to the
laboratory activities.
Actively assist the stats in the collection, analysis and interpretation of
data.
Facilitate in OR related to RNTCP.
Any other duties allotted from time to time
