Objectives of the course
The training will broadly address medicinal plants, traditional herb remedies and the current trends in herbal research. This will include hands on training and lectures by experts in the related fields. The main objectives are:
• To facilitate sharing of information and expertise on medicinal plants, traditional system of medicines and herbal drugs.
• To enhance research in natural products, latest practices, identification methods and bio assay techniques.
• To provide knowledge on recent technological advances like molecular biology, biotechnology and biochemistry in medicinal plant research.
• To develop an interest in herbal medicine, its sustainable utilization and conservation.
Who should attend?
Participants will include Academicians, Faculty and Scientists / Researchers / Postdoctoral / Research Scholar. Interested candidates are requested to send their application to the course director on or before 13th October 2017. Course fee will not be charged.
