Applications are invited for the following purely project based temporary positions. The candidate with adequate qualification may appear for Walk-In-Interview on 15 November, 2017 at 11:00 AM onward at Kosi-Katarmal (Almora) campus of the Institute.

Candidates appearing for Interview should bring original copies (with xerox copy) of testimonials, biodata, publications etc along with an application. No TA/DA will be paid to the candidates appearing for the Interview.

Title: Establishment and conservation of Gingko biloba and Taxus wallichianan using microbial technology: Field evaluation. 

7. Senior Project Fellow (01 No.) @ Rs. 18,000/ month +HRA 8% or (Rs. 1800/- minimum) Maximum 32 Years 

First Class Masters degree in Microbiology with two years research experience as JRF/JPF on microbial communities Conducting microbial inoculation trials on the target species, and detailed rhizosphere studies

Title: Long term ecological monitoring in western Himalayan and knowledge generation for decision making. 

9. Junior Project Fellow (02 Nos.) @ Rs. 16,000/ month +HRA @8% or (Rs. 1800/- minimum) for first two years and @ Rs. 18,000/- month +HRA @8% or (Rs. 1800/-minimum) for third year Maximum 28 Years 

First Class Masters degree in Botany/ Forestry/ Environment/ Chemistry/ Economics/ Biodiversity/ Bio-statistics 

 Experience of working in Himalayan region 
 Conducting field work in remote forested areas of Himalaya
 Data collection and analysis; report preparation  Laboratory analysis of plant and soil samples

Title: Development of model village through technology transfer for livelihood enhancement in the Central Himalaya. 

4. Junior Project Fellow (01 No.) @ Rs. 16,000/ month +HRA @8% or (Rs. 1800/- minimum) for first two years and @ Rs. 18,000/- month +HRA @8% or (Rs. 1800/-minimum) for third year Maximum 28 Years 

First Class Masters degree in Geography/Botany/ Forestry 

Physically fit to work in the Himalayan Mountains Field Demonstration, technology transfer, capacity building, database development, data analysis and manual/report preparation
