Institute invites applications from Indian nationals for the following position on contract basis: 

Name of the post Project Assistant / Fellow 

Name of the project Understanding small molecule permeation in Mycobacterium tuberculosis: Towards design of drugs with penetrating scaffolds

Description: The project will involve use of transposon mutagenesis and mass spectrometry based proteomics to identify and characterize membrane proteins in mycobacteria. The project fellow will be expected to be able to culture with pathogenic mycobacteria in a biosafety level III laboratory after appropriate training and certification.

Minimum qualifications M.Sc. in Biology /Life sciences /Bio-technology/ Biochemistry/Organic chemistry/ Chemical sciences or Equivalent degree with minimum 60% marks or an Equivalent degree. 

Desirable: 

 Valid CSIR / UGC NET-JRF or GATE score card. 
 Experience in mycobacteriology/ transposon mutagenesis/ mass spectrometry based proteomics.
