Dengue metagenomics and vaccine enabling program
The National Centre for Biological Sciences (NCBS) - Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR) is a premier research centre carrying out frontier research in the biological sciences located in Bangalore.
NCBS is hosting a philanthropic grant to consolidate an ongoing Dengue metagenomics program which will enable a vaccine program in partnership. This is a collaborative effort involving NCBS, IISc, Manipal Virus Research Centre, MAHE, St. John’s Medical College and other centres. The grant is part of a life sciences-public health initiative and will offer job opportunities to people interested in such initiatives. Special attention will be given to people interested in working in Africa too, as the mandate of the program is to develop the sequencing and vaccine Program also in Africa.  Applications are invited for the following post under the Dengue metagenomics and vaccine enabling program.
Essential Qualification & Experience:
M.Sc in Biological Sciences or related subject with 2 years of research experience in Molecular biology and Virology. Preference will be given to applicants with a demonstrated expertise or interest in Molecular biology and Virology, applicants with other skills in the general area of life sciences can also apply.
