Recruitment for the post of “Junior Research Fellow” under funded project Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Tirupati is a premier autonomous Institution established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, for promotion of high quality science education and research in the country. Institute invites applications from Indian nationals for the following position on purely contract basis:

Name of the project Automatic analysis of Avian Acoustics

Description: The project aims to develop algorithms and tools for automatic analysis of avian acoustics. The aim of the project is two fold: to develop low-cost and field-deployable recording hardware, and to develop automatic algorithms for their analysis. Data collection from the Western Ghats and the lower Himalayas by the automated recorders is also an essential part of the project.

Minimum qualifications Post Graduate in Science with NET qualification or Graduate degree in any Professional Course with NET Qualification (or) Post Graduate Degree in any Professional Course 

Desirable

 Candidates having experience with bird identification algorithms, bird songs 
 Candidates who have qualified any of the national level test like CSIR / UGC – NET / GATE etc. with valid score in score card are eligible for remuneration of Rs. 25000/- + 10% HRA per month (Consolidated). 
 Others will be eligible for Rs.16,000/- + 10% HRA per month based on their academic qualification.
