Interested and eligible candidates are requested to appear before a Selection Committee on 2
nd
April, 2018 at 12 noon in the room of the Secretary, U.C.S.T.A, University of Calcutta, 92, A. P.
C. Road, Kolkata 700009 for the following post in the Research Project sponsored by Indian
Space Research Organization (ISRO) at Department of Marine Science, University of Calcutta.
One JRF for the project entitled “Water quality assessment using AVIRIS-NG derived data along
the Hooghly (Ganges) River Estuary, Eastern Part of India” under the supervision of Prof. Tarun
Kumar De and Retd. Prof. Santosh Kumar Sarkar.
Qualification required: First class M. Sc. In Marine Science. Preference will be given to NET /
GATE qualified candidates.
Knowledge and experience in analyses of the physicochemical
parameters and trace metal concentrations in seawater will be given preference.
Remunerations will be as per the sanction of the Funding Agency and the norms of the
University.
Candidates willing to appear in the interview must bring (i) All originals of the
testimonials, and (ii) Two sets of complete applications furnishing biodata on a plain paper
enclosing all attested copies of testimonials & passport size photograph.
No TA/DA is permissible for the interview.
