Candidates possessing the following qualifications and experience are invited for
Walk-in-Interview for purely temporary position of 2 (two) Senior Research Fellows under
NICRA Project entitled “Impact of climate change in inland fisheries and development
of adaptation strategies”. Details of the position, qualifications and experience required
are given below :

Tenure The position is purely temporary and co-terminus with the
project; however, candidates are liable to be terminated at
any time if their service, performance and conduct are found
not satisfactory.
Essential qualification M. F. Sc. in Fisheries Resource Management/
Aquaculture/Aquatic Environment Management/ Fish Health
Management/ Fish Physiology and Biochemistry with 4 years
Bachelor s degree Or M. Sc. Zoology with specialization in
fish and fisheries science, with 3 years Bachelor s degree, 2
years research experience and NET qualified on the date of
interview OR Ph.D. in Fisheries Resources Management/
Aquaculture/ Fish Physiology and Biochemistry/ Zoology with
Fisheries Specialization.
Desirable qualification/
Experience
Desirable:
Hands on training in one or more of the following fields,
Aquaculture, Fish biology, Fish physiology, Fisheries
Resource Management. Working knowledge of Computer
applications, Data analysis, Handling statistical software s all
with supporting evidences. Good English language.
Knowledge in Bengali.
Experience
Research experience in Fish biology, Inland fisheries and
Aquaculture
Remuneration Rs. 25,000/- p.m. and
HRA as admissible.
Age limit Maximum age limit as on the date of interview is 35 years for
men and 40 years for women. (Relaxation will be provided to
the candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC category as per
rule).
