CONTRACTUAL ENGAGEMENT OF PROJECT PERSONNEL WALK – IN – INTERVIEW

The Wildlife Institute of India (WII) is a premier autonomous Institute under the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change, and Government of India, in the field of wildlife research, teaching and training. The Institute plans to engage following positions/project personnel (Indian national only) through a walk in interview on 16th & 17th March, 2018. All engagements are purely on a contractual basis, initially for a one-year period from the date of engagement that can be extended depending on the candidate’s performance and the programme needs under the project. The work description, essential and desirable qualifications, age (as on date of advertisement) and the consolidated monthly emoluments for the required position is given in Annexure 1. The upper age limits for all posts may be relaxed up to 5 years for SC/ST/Women/Physically Challenged and 3 years for OBC candidates.

1 Project Scientist 1 

Rs. 56,000 Ph.D. in Wildlife Science / Zoology / Life Sciences / Forestry or related subjects with ≥1 year teaching/training experience after award of Ph.D degree 

Experience in organizing and conducting training programmes. 

45 years 

Candidate will develop and implement training programme on various aspects of Biodiversity conservation and Ganga rejuvenation 

2 Project Associate 1 

Rs.45,200 

Master's degree with minimum of 60% aggregate marks in Wildlife Science / Forestry / Environmental Science/ Botany /Zoology / Life Science or related subjects with ≥3 years experience after M.Sc. in relevant field 

Experience in population estimation of wildlife/aquatic species and habitat assessment; good analytical skills. 

40 years 

Candidate will coordinate the field sampling for biodiversity profiling and assessing various environmental parameters. 

3 Project Fellow 4 

Rs. 32,000 

Master’s Degree in Wildlife Science/ Forestry / Veterinary Science /Botany/Zoology/ Environmental Science or Management with>1 year experience after M.Sc. in the relevant field Experience of field work on Biodiversity/wildlife conservation or environment science related projects 

40 years 

Candidate will assist in field data collection/ Report writing and maintenance of Rescue and rehabilitation Centres. 

4 Project Assistant Grade II (Technical) 3 

Rs. 20,000 Graduate degree in any discipline of biological sciences/social sciences with 60% aggregate marks. Master’s degree in any branch of biological or humanities. Knowledge of computer in MS Office, Internet and email 

30 years 
Candidate will assist the Project Associate and Fellows in field research and literature survey on Ganga River and its biodiversity.
