The Institute invites applications from Indian
nationals to fill up the following positions for it’s headquarter in Goa and three Regional Centers in
Mumbai, Kochi and Visakhapatnam.

Approximate Monthly Emolument:72,439/- excluding
HRA and TA.
• Essential Qualification: PhD in Aquatic Sciences or Marine Geophysics or Geophysics or Geology or
Meteorology and Atmospheric Sciences or PhD in Oceanography or Ocean Sciences or Science with
specialization in any one of the following topics.
Marine Physics, Marine Geology, Geophysics, Marine Geophysics, Marine Chemistry, Marine
Biology, Marine Molecular Biology, Marine Ecology, Marine Sciences, Physical Oceanography,
Biological oceanography, Chemical oceanography, Geological oceanography, coastal zone
management.
PhD submitted in the above subjects may also be considered.
• Desirable Qualification: Demonstrated excellence in Product Development/Technology Innovation/
Applied Technology/Translational Research and also exhibited excellence in research through
publications in peer-reviewed journals. Commendable work in air-sea interaction/Atmospheric
boundary layer/Physical oceanography/Climate/Near-shore dynamics/Circulation/Surf-zone
dynamics/Monsoon/Numerical modeling/Analytical chemistry/Biogeochemistry/Marine chemistry/
Pollution/Eco-toxicology/Isotope chemistry/Marine geophysics and experience in collection,
processing and interpretation of Gravity and magnetic data/Single & multichannel seismic
data/multibeam bathymetry data/proficiency in Fortran or C programming language/Marine geology/
Igneous & metamorphic petrology/Geochronology-radiogenic isotope/Geochemistry/Petrology/
Taxonomy/Ocean food web dynamics/ Mangroves/Sea-grass/Wetlands/Molecular Biology/Marine
biology/Ecology.
• Job Specification and Responsibility: To undertake scientific research in the relevant field at sea and
in laboratory.
