The Centre for Ecological Sciences at the Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru, will conduct the second annual
DST-SERB sponsored School in Chemical Ecology, an intensive two-week-long course to provide an insight into
state-of-the-art research areas of Chemical Ecology, with a special emphasis on research on animal venoms and
poisons, and plant–animal interactions. Twenty-five young researchers, including masters students, PhD
students, postdoctoral fellows and young faculty members, will be selected at the national level. The School aims
to provide an interdisciplinary research environment to build scientific human resource with sound conceptual
knowledge and excellent technical base for teaching and research, and to strengthen and nurture the research
programs in Chemical Ecology in the country. The School would offer the selected young researchers with an
excellent platform to learn directly from the leading experts in the field of Chemical Ecology.
