Application in plain paper are invited from eligible candidates for (one) post of JRF in a Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), Department of Science and Technology (DST), Govt. of India sponsored research project.

Title of the Project: “Quantifying the total ecosystem level carbon sequestration potential of different forest ecosystems along an elevational gradient in Uttarakhand, Western Himalaya in different climate scenarios”.
Eligibility: Candidates with M.Sc. in Botany/Life Sciences/Environmental Sciences and other allied subjects with a minimum 55% marks and having NET qualifications as required by SERB can apply. M.Sc. Result awaited candidates (2018) having NET qualifications can also apply. Candidates clearing their Master’s degree not earlier than 2015 would be given preference. Candidates having experience in conducting ecological experiments and willing to work in various terrains of Uttarakhand would be given preference. The study would involve extensive field visits and stay.

Duration of Project: 3 years.

Fellowship: As per revised DST norms for JRF/SRF emoluments.

Short-listed candidates would be called for interview in the Department of Botany, University of Delhi. All original certificates should be brought for verification at the time of interview.
2. No TA/DA will be provided to candidates for attending the interview.

NOTE: This is a project vacancy for a period of 3 years and not an employment by the University of Delhi.
