SRF Position in Immunotechnology 

Project Title: Generation, Characterization and Pre-clinical Evaluation of Chicken Egg Yolk sourced Anti-Snake Venom IgY against venoms of Cobra, Krait, Russell’s Viper and Saw-scaled viper Funding Agency:BIRAC, DBT, Govt. Of India under PACE-AIR Scheme

Tenure: Aug 2018 to Jan 2020 (18 Months*) 

Fellowship details: SRF fellowship and accommodation / HRA is admissible as per the norms of DBT-BIRAC rules. 

Essential Qualification: First Class in M. Tech (Biotechnology/ Biopharmaceutical technology/ or any Life sciences) or M.Sc. (Microbiology/Immunology/Molecular-biology) with two years of relevant experience. 

Desirable Skills: Protein purification techniques using column chromatography and Characterization using SDS –PAGE, ELISA, Western blot. 

Experience in Animal Experiments for efficacy trial is also expected. 

Project Description: This project will involve skills like animal handling, antibody generation, protein purification using appropriate chromatographic and standard downstream purification steps followed by pre-clinical evaluation of antibody using in-vitro and in-vivo techniques.
