Prof Anil Gupta Is a well-known and widely recognized champion of the cause of grassroots innovations in India and the world.
Prof. Anil K Gupta is a visiting faculty at the Centre for Management in Agriculture, Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad & Indian Institute of Technology,Bombay. He is also the founder of Honey Bee Network, SRISTI, NIF & GIAN. Ph.D. (Management), Kurukshetra University India, MSc. Biochemical Genetics 1974 Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar. Fellow, National Academy of Agricultural Sciences; Fellow, the World Academy of Art and Science, California 2001.
Some selected honors related to Innovation: Member, National Innovation Council, Chaired by Adviser to Prime Minister (2010-2013); KasturbhaiLalbhai Chair in Entrepreneurship, IIMA (2003-2008); Chairperson, Ravi J Matthai Centre for Educational Innovation, Indian Institute of Management, 1993-1994; Padam Shri, 2004, civil award by The President of India; Adjudged as one of the fifty most influential people in the field of intellectual property rights around the world in 2003. In 2016, he authored a new book: “Grassroots Innovation: Mind on the margin are not marginal minds.”
