Applications are invited from suitable candidates for one position of Junior Research Fellow in a DBT- funded research project entitled Helicobacter pylori infection in Sikkim and possible use of probiotics isolated from ethnic fermented foods of Sikkim against H.Pylori in the Laboratory of Dr. Santanu Chattapadhyay at Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology, BIC Campus, KINRFA Film & Video Park, Kazhakuttom, Thiruvananthapuram.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
The candidates must have good academic record with first class Master's Degree in Life Sciences/ Microbiology / Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Botany / Zoology. The candidate should also have good communication skills.
AGE
Below 28 years as on 23rd July, 2018. Age relaxation will be given as per Govt. of India norms.
EMOLUMENT
Rs. 25,000 + 16% HRA per month for M.Sc. Degree holders who have qualified NET (with valid certificate) or Post Graduates in Professional Degree courses. M.Sc. degree holders who do not have NET/GATE certification will be eligible for Rs. 12,000/- + 16% HRA per month.
DURATION
Three years or till termination of the project whichever is earlier.
SELECTION PROCESS
Suitably qualified candidates may send applications in the prescribed format (Download here) with a photograph, a copy of full resume indicating the percentage of Marks obtained and attested photocopies of credentials & experience to reach the undersigned on or before 23rd July, 2018. Envelopes must be superscripted with abbreviated title of the project, advertisement number and job title. Selection to the position will not entitle the candidate to any future positions at RGCB (permanent or otherwise). As with all project positions at RGCB, the position will be co terminus with end of the project. Only those fulfilling the above criteria need apply and will be called for interview. In the event of more than 10 candidates being short-listed by screening the applications, a written test will be conducted before the selection interview and only those who are successful in the written test will be interviewed.
No TA/DA/Other emoluments will be given for appearing in the written test/interview.
