Applications are invited for a temporary position of SRF @ Rs. 28,000/- p.m. + HRA under a DBT
(CEIB-II) project entitled “Functions of the multiple long noncoding transcripts of the hsr gene
of Drosophila”.
Research work would involve advanced genetic and molecular cell biological
approaches using Drosophila.
Position is co-terminus with the completion of the project in 2019.
Candidates must have at least two years’ research experience after obtaining the Master's degree (with
at least 55% marks) in Biochemistry/Biotechnology/Life Sciences/Molecular & Human Genetics/Zoology
or related area. Previous experience in molecular biology and/or Drosophila molecular genetics is
strongly desirable.
The upper age limit is 32 years, but can be relaxed for 5 years for SC/ST/Physically
Handicapped/Female candidates. All things being equal, SC/ST candidates will be preferred as per
GOI rules. The actual emoluments payable to the selected SRF would be as per DST/BHU rules.
