Institute of Life Sciences (ILS), Bhubaneswar, an autonomous institute of the Department of
Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India invites applications from
Indian Nationals to join in the following position.
Senior Research Fellow (01 position)
Project: “To understand the role of FtsEX in coordinating the cell division with the membrane
cleavage in E. coli.”
Fellowship: As per the norms and regulations of the funding agency
Age limit: The upper age limit of the candidate should be below 32 years as on last date of
application. Age relaxation will be given to the candidates as per Govt. of India
guidelines.
Eligibility: M.Sc. having 60% marks and with more than two years of research experience in
any branch of Life Sciences.
Candidates with research experience in Microbiology,
Bacterial genetics and protein Biochemistry and with publications will be given
preference.
Selection: Interested/eligible candidates may download application form from the institute
website (www.ils.res.in) and apply along with the copies of final mark sheets,
certificate and publications (if any) to “The Director, Institute of Life Sciences,
and Nalco Square, Bhubaneswar-751023.” Initial appointment will be for one
year, extendable up to 3 years upon satisfactory performance which will be
assessed each year. The position is purely temporary and co-terminus with the
project. Only short listed candidates will be called for an interview.
No TA/DA will be
paid for attending the interview. The decision of the Director regarding selection of
the candidates will be final and no correspondence will be entertained in this
regard.
