Applications are invited for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in research project titled “Exploring the Bacillus thuringiensis genetic diversity with anti-coleopteran, anti-lepidopteron specific Cry genes to combat agriculturally important insect pest from North-East (Arunachal Pradesh) India” sponsored under Early Career Research Award Project funded by SERB-DST. Interested candidates may attend the Walk-In Interview to be held on 10th September 2018 at 10.00 AM in the Conference Hall of the Department of Forestry, North-Eastern Regional Institute of Science & Technology, Nirjuli, Arunachal Pradesh.

Project Title

Exploring the Bacillus thuringiensis genetic diversity with anti-coleopteran, anti-lepidopteron specific Cry genes to combat agriculturally important insect pest from North-East (Arunachal Pradesh) India

Fellowship Consolidated emolument @ ₹. 25000+10% HRA (NET/ JRF/ GATE) and @ ₹. 16000+10% (Non NET/JRF/ GATE)

Essential Qualifications Ist Class M.Sc. in Biotechnology/Microbiology/ Botany/ Life Sciences/ Forestry.

Candidates with experience in microbiology and molecular biology have been given preference.

The position is purely on temporary basis for a period of 03 (Three) years and co-terminus with the project.
