Walk-in-Interview for the selection of Junior Research Fellow (Two) and Young Professional – I (One) on contractual basis under the following projects will be held on 27.08.2018, 30.08.2018 and 06.09.2018 at 11.00 AM. The candidates should come for the walk-in-interview before 10.30 AM for the said date (s) for verification of certificates. The posts are purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. Eligible candidates may attend the Walk-in-Interview at the above address.

1. DBT funded project entitled “Molecular dissection of defense against Sigatoka infection in Banana; Exploitation of Musa germplasm of North East for development of Sigatoka resistant hybrid” for the NE programme

Junior Research Fellow (One) 

M.Sc. (Life Science / Biotechnology) with NET qualification or M.Sc. (Agri.) in Plant Pathology or M.Tech. (Biotechnology) or Ph.D. (Life Science / Plant Pathology / Biotechnology / Molecular Biology) Rs.25000/- + 20% HRA per month

(i) To do Ph.D. at ICAR – NRCB
(ii) Knowledge in Bioinformatics
(iii) Hands on experience in Biotechnology

2. DBT funded project entitled “Management of low temperature and soil moisture deficit stresses in banana growth in North Eastern India” for the NE programme

Junior Research Fellow (One) 

M.Sc. (Agriculture) specialized in Plant Physiology / Biochemistry or M.Sc. (Plant Science / Plant Molecular Biology / Plant Biochemistry) with NET qualification or Ph.D. (Plant Science / Plant Molecular Biology / Plant Biochemistry)

Rs.25000/- + 20% HRA per month

(i) Computer knowledge in MS Office supported by minimum of diploma certificate
(ii) Experience as JRF / SRF

Till 31.03.2021

3. DST funded project entitled “Breaking frontiers for the improvement of plants natural defense against pathogens in Banana (Musa species) through genome mining

Young Professional-I (One) 

First class in M.Sc. / M.Tech. majored in any branch of Life Science (Botany / Biotechnology / Biochemistry / and / or other related fields)

Rs.15,000/- (consolidated)

At least 1 -2 years experience in plant tissue culture and basic molecular techniques such as PCR, qPCR and cloning. The selected candidate expected to register a Ph.D.
