Applications are invited for the post of ONE Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in a CSIR funded project entitled “Investigating the role of exogenous ATP in cancer metastasis” under the supervision of Dr. Ravi Shankar Akundi, Faculty of Life Sciences and Biotechnology, South Asian University, New Delhi. 

Qualifications: The minimum qualifications are BS 4 years programme/ BPharm/ MBBS/ Integrated BS-MS/ MSc or equivalent degree in any area of life sciences, with 55% marks AND passing of National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted jointly by CSIR and UGC. 

Candidates who have qualified in the GATE test may also apply. Non-NET or Non-GATE qualified candidates cannot apply for this post. Fellowship is as per CSIR rules (http://www.csirhrdg.res.in/). The upper age limit for JRF shall be 28 years as on the day on which the application is made. However, a smaller relaxation in age limit may be considered in case of applicants who are suitably qualified based on recommendations of the Selection Committee. 

Experience in mammalian cell culture techniques and molecular biology techniques such as cloning, PCR and antibody-based methods will be advantageous. Copy of the proof of NET/GATE qualification and latest educational qualification should be attached. Relevant documents such as proof of experience, published papers, etc. may also be sent. 

Selected candidates will be informed on/before August 20, 2018. Details about the date of interview which will be held at SAU will be emailed separately to the selected candidates. 

Important Note: Applications received after August 17, 2018 will not be screened. Email will be sent only to the shortlisted candidates. No TA/DA will be available for attending the interview. Applications are invited for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) to work on a SERB funded project entitled “Redesigning of Bacterial Endochitinase for Enhanced Antifungal Activity” under the supervision of Dr. Rinkoo D. Gupta, Faculty of Life Sciences and Biotechnology, South Asian University, New Delhi.

Qualification: Students with MSc or equivalent degree in any area of Life Sciences with minimum 55% marks and NET/GATE qualified are encouraged to apply. 

Application Procedure: A detailed CV indicating name, date of birth, address, contact number, e-mail address, complete educational qualifications, NET/GATE certificate, research experiences if any and name of at least two referees with their contact details including e-mail ID, should be e-mailed to rdguptasau@gmail.com on or before 20th August 2018. 

Important Note: Only short listed candidates will be called for interview at Akbar Bhawan, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. SAU Selection Committee reserves the rights to relax any of the qualifications in case the candidate is found otherwise well qualified. The above mentioned post is temporary and will be initially offered for a period of one year, which may be extended to two more years.
