NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY, RAIPUR
Applications are invited for the post of a Junior Research Fellow in a DST-SERB Early Career Research award project
entitled “Development of a risk stratification system for clinical management of sickle cell disease using predictive
machine learning approaches” to be executed in the Department of Biomedical Engineering, National Institute of
Technology, Raipur.
ELIGIBILITY
Educational Qualification: M.E/ M.Tech in Biomedical Engineering, Bioengineering,
Medical Electronics, Biomedical Instrumentation, Electronics, Electronics and
Telecommunication or equivalent discipline
Desirable Qualification: Knowledge of basic programming skills in MATLAB®/Python/C, C++. Understanding of
machine learning techniques/algorithms.
Fellowship Amount: Rs.25,000 / 25,000 / 28,000 per month for I/II/III year respectively (Consolidated)
Duration of the project: 3 years
Terms and conditions:
1. No TA/DA is permissible for appearing in the interview.
2. The initial appointment will be for 12 months. However, the candidate may be discontinued any time by giving a
one month prior notice if the performance is not found satisfactory.
3. The above position is purely temporary and continuation of the fellowship is subject to satisfactory performance
and review after 12 months.
4. The appointment shall be co-terminus with the project and will be governed as per the Terms and Conditions of
funding agency SERB DST, New Delhi and Rules, Regulations and Norms of NIT Raipur.
