NEHU Molecular Biology JRF Walk IN 2018 October


Eligible candidates may appear in Walk-in-interview for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in a DBT sponsored project entitled “Isolation and characterization of bioactive components from indigenous plants of NEH region for antiurolithiatic potential with standardized phytochemical and pharmacological parameters”. The details are as under:

Junior Research Fellow (JRF) M.Sc (Horticulture) in Vegetable Science from a recognized institute/university with working experience on molecular characterization of plants/chromatography techniques

Should be NET/JRF/GATE qualified.

Expertise: Molecular markers, PCR, HPLC techniques. 
As per DBT Rules. The work will require extensive travelling and surveying in various parts of the North East India and demands rigorous laboratory work. The appointment will be purely temporary basis and will be co-terminus with the project. The PI and Institute reserves the right to terminate the engagement of the JRF at any time, if the performance is not found satisfactory. The person engaged shall not be entitled for any claim implicit or explicit for permanent absorption in the University.
General Term and Condition:
  • The interview of eligible candidates will be held on 10th October, 2018 at 11:00 AM.
  • Interested candidates should report at 10:30 AM on 10th October, 2018 at Department of Horticulture, NEHU, Tura Campus, Meghalaya – 794002 for attendance and document verification. After 10:45 AM on 10th October, 2018, no candidature will be considered for the interview.
  • The posts are purely temporary in nature and is co-terminus with the project. The candidate shall not claim any regular appointment at this Institute, as the post is co-terminus with the project.
  • The candidates will have to bring one copy of bio-data (Annexure I), and publications, original certificates, selfattested photocopies of all the required certificates from matriculation onwards and copy of recent passport size photograph. The originals are essentially to be brought while attending the interview, failing which candidate will not be allowed to attend the interview. Documents such as dissertation report/thesis etc. should be presented to Board.
  • Only the candidates having essential qualifications would be entertained for the interview.
  • No travelling or any other allowances is admissible for attending the interview.
  • Candidates will not be considered in absentia.
  • No objection certificate from employer should be produced at the time of interview in case he/she is employed elsewhere.
  • Experience will be considered only if Experience certificate in original is produced at the time of interview clearly mentioning the duration and kind of employment.
  • The Principal Investigator of the project reserves the right to fill or not fill the JRF position or withdraw the notification at any point of time and in any conflict the decision of PI and Institute will be final.
  • All legal implications are subjected to Tura jurisdiction only.
