Applications are invited for the Post of JRF/SRF in the DBT sponsored projects at Department of RDAP, North-Eastern Hill University, Tura Campus, Tura-794002, Meg halaya. The Post is purely temporary and terminable at any time without prior notice or assigning any reason thereof. The person engaged, shall not be entitled for any claim implicit or explicit for permanent absorption in the University. The Principal Investigator reserves the right to add/delete/modify or cancel the advertisement.
Junior/Senior Research Fellow: M.Sc./M.Tech in Dairy Microbiology/Microbiology/Food Sciences from a recognized University/ institute. Preference will be given to those who have qualified NET and have the minimum 2 year work experience in similar field.
Duties: Collection of fermented food samples from different areas of Meghalaya, isolation, characterization and evaluation of probiotic potential of Lactic acid bacteria. Handling of microbiological tools and techniques, day to day laboratory work including writing report and scientific papers.
Pay: As per DBT Norms.
Tenure: One year or until the termination of the project whichever earlier. Candidates must send the detailed Biodata via mail and bring all the relevant documents in original and one set of attested photocopies of the same and two photographs at the time of interview. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview and candidates have to make their own arrangements.
