Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in DST Project

Applications are invited for one post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) with monthly fellowship of Rs
25,000 p.m. + HRA in Department of Science and Technology (DST) funded project titled: ‘Skeletal
muscle fluorosis: effects of fluoride on skeletal muscle cells and its associated mechanisms in
vitro and in vivo studies’ for three years. The post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project.
Essential qualification: Candidates with M.Sc. degree in any branch of Biological Science subjects with
a minimum of 60% marks. Candidates who have qualified CSIR-NET/DBT-JRF/UGC-JRF/GATE will be
preferred.
Selected candidates can enroll themselves for the Ph.D. programme of the institution
(Yenepoya Deemed to be University).
A good academic record, inquisitiveness to do science,
independent worker, a good team player and skills in any one techniques such as cell culture, qRT-PCR,
Western blot, flow cytometry, small animal handling is desirable.
Excellent communication skills in written
and spoken English are compulsory.
