Dr. Harisingh Gaur Central University
Walk-in-Interview is scheduled on 27th December, 2018 at 11 am in the office of Head, Department of
Botany, Dr. Harisingh Gaur Central University, Sagar, M.P for filling up the positions of Junior
Research Fellow (JRF)/Project Fellow in the project entitled “Mapping and quantitative assessment
of plant resources and its distribution in Madhya Pradesh, Central India”
(No.BT/PR12899/NDB/39/506/2015 dt. 20/06/2017) funded by Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of
India. Positions are purely on contractual basis and coterminous with project. Details of the positions
are given below:
1. Junior Research Fellow/ Project Fellow
Emoluments Per month: Rs. 25000 + HRA for 1st and 2nd Year and thereafter Rs. 28000 + HRA for 3rd Year. Candidates without NET if selected will be paid @ Rs.16000/- + HRA for initial two years and Rs. 18000 + HRA for the remaining period with the designation of Project fellow/Senior Project fellow respectively. HRA shall be paid as per university rules.
Minimum 55% in M.Sc. in Botany/Plant Science/ Environmental Science/ Biodiversity Conservation/ Forestry & Ecology. Candidates with NET (UGCCSIR, ICAR) shall be preferred.
Desirable: Knowledge of handling GPS device and preparing herbarium sheets. Candidate with experience of extensive field data collection shall be preferred.
Required to fulfill the objectives of the project within the schedule project duration. To carry out extensive field survey in different types of forests of Madhya Pradesh and map the forest vegetation, collect the plant specimens, collect other relevant field data, verify the collected data in the laboratory, arranged in required format, analysis of the collected data and activities as assigned by the Project Coordinator.
