Applications are invited for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in DST-SERB funded
project entitled "Studies on the interaction mechanism between resistant rice varieties
and planthopper assemblages mediated through the phloem"
Duration: 03 years
Eligibility: M.Tech./M.Sc. Agri. Biotechnology/Agri. Entomology/Agri. Nematology/Plant
Biotechnology/Life Sciences (specialization in entomology) with NET/GATE or equivalent
qualified
Desirable: Experience on plant molecular biology and proteomics techniques and insect
rearing and maintenance will be preferred
Emoluments: Rs.25,000/ p.m.+ HRA for 1-2
nd year and Rs.28, 000/ p.m + HRA for 3rd year
(as per DST norms)
JRF position is purely on merit basis and temporary for three years.
The JRF will be
encouraged to enroll for Ph.D in Life Sciences
Candidate may also have to travel and conduct research with the collaborating research
centers during project duration of 3 years
