A Walk-in-Interview will be held on in the Department of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology (MBBT), Tezpur University, Napaam, Sonitpur, Assam – 784028 at 10 a.m. on 7 December 2018 for one (01) temporary position of Junior Research Fellow/Senior Research Fellow in the DBT Twinning research project entitled “Pharmacological studies of recombinant and mutant fibrin(ogen)olytic protease(s) for the prevention and/or treatment of hyperfibrinogenemia associated cardiovascular disorders” under Prof. A.K. Mukherjee, Principal Investigator, Department of MBBT, Tezpur University, Assam. 

Educational Qualifications: First Class M.Sc./M.Tech with a minimum 60% marks or equivalent CGPA in aggregate in Biotechnology / Bioinformatics / Biochemistry / Molecular Biology / Zoology / Life Sciences. The candidate should have qualified CSIR-UGC NET and/or GATE. However, suitable experienced M.Sc. candidate without NET/GATE may also be recruited. 

Desirable: Candidates having experience in microbiology and/or protein chemistry will be preferred. 
For SRF position, a 2 years experience with atleast one publication in >2.0 journal is required. Fellowship: 
For JRF: Rs. 25,000/- (Rupees twenty five thousand) plus HRA as admissible per month for M.Tech candidate or NET/GATE qualified M.Sc. candidate. 
For suitable non-NET/GATE JRF candidate: Rs. 12,000/- (Rupees twelve thousand) only plus HRA as admissible per month. 
For SRF: Rs. 28,000/- (Rupees twenty eight thousand) only plus HRA as admissible per month for M.Tech candidate or NET/GATE qualified M.Sc. candidate. 
For suitable non-NET/GATE SRF candidate: Rs. 14,000/- (Rupees fourteen thousand) only plus HRA as admissible per month. 

Duration: 12 months or till completion of the project or until further order, whichever is earlier. 

Age: Candidate shall not be more than 28 years and 32 years of age on the date of interview for JRF and SRF position, respectively. Upper age limit may be relaxed as per Government of India rules. 

Interested candidates may appear before the interview board with original and self-attested photocopies of mark sheets, certificates from 10th standard onwards, testimonials, caste certificate (if applicable), certificate of NET/GATE or similar examination, any other testimonials and a copy of recent signed Curriculum Vitae (CV) on the day of interview.
