UIC-TNAU acts as a pre-incubation centre to foster innovation and entrepreneurial skills among young Graduates / Post Graduates and Post Doctoral researchers. The fellowships are highly competitive and exceptionally motivated researchers who have an eye for innovation and drive for start-ups in the Biotechnology sector would be selected for the fellowships. Under UIC-TNAU three BIRAC Innovation Fellowship positions are available.

3. Tools for biotech and bioinformatics application
4. Functional foods
5. Plant Health Management
Qualification & Eligibility
Graduate / Post Graduate:
Eligibility: Candidates who have completed B. Tech / Integrated B. Tech-M. Tech / M. Sc / M. Tech in life science disciplines on or after 01.01.2015
Desirable: Background research related to the proposed project, experience related to product development / industrial research
Post Doctoral:
Eligibility: Candidates who have completed their Ph. D programme / submitted thesis in life science disciplines on or after 01.01.2015
Desirable: Ph. D research related to the proposed project, experience related to product development / industrial research
Fellowship (consolidated):
Rs 30,000 per month with an yearly innovation grant of Rs. 2,00,000/- for Graduate/Post Graduate Fellows
Rs. 50,000 per month with an yearly innovation grant of Rs. 5,00,000/- for Post Doctoral Fellows
