Applications are invited for a Senior Research Fellow in Cancer to join Department of Molecular Oncology led by Dr. Rajeev Kumar at Cachar Cancer Hospital & Research Centre, Silchar (DSIR SIRO), Silchar, 

You will work on the ICMR funded National Task Force project that aims to explore the role of different micro-organisms in cancer development and their clinical outcome. It is expected that you will learn various techniques like NGS, DNA Microarray, Flow Cytometry, qPCR, IHC and Tissue Microarray and coordinate multiple aspects of the project to deliver in timely manner. You will also get the opportunity to visit our collaborating center's like IITB, Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, NCBS Bangalore to further enhance your technical skills. You may get the opportunity to enroll in a PhD program based on your performance.

**Fellowship may be revised by ICMR based on the latest  guidelines. 
Two years of research experience in cancer research or biomedical research post completion of their M.Sc award.   
M.Sc/M.Tech in Biological Sciences(Bioinformatic, Biotech,  Life Sciences, Pharmaceuticals, Biochemistry, Genetics, Genomics, etc.), MBBS, MD.


Good academic record with commitment to enroll for a PhD program that will last for 3-4 years.

Working experience in Genomics /NGS data analysis.
