1. Applications are invited from interested candidates to
work as a Research fellow/associate (1 Position) under a project to investigate
ocular cells derived from induced pluripotent stem cells. The position is
purely on a temporary basis for a period of 1 year with the possibility for
further extension and to register for PhD upon fulfilling the necessary
requirements.

Duration: Initially for
one year and can be extended by two more years.
Qualifications: M.Sc. in
Biological Sciences/Life Sciences/Bio medical Science
Experience: Candidates with minimum two years of prior laboratory
experience in mammalian cell culture and molecular cloning technique is
mandatory. Previous experience with stem cell work, managing own research and
administrative activities is a plus.
The role: The
post holder will be primarily responsible to perform cellular reprogramming and
iPSC generation, iPSC differentiation, clinical sample processing and their
bio-banking and participate in all the laboratory activities. Undertake other
laboratory duties as responsibilities of this post. The post offers the
opportunity to become proficient in the culture of fibroblasts, blood cell
isolation and culture, vector production, cellular reprogramming and iPSC
generation.

· Interest in working
toward a PhD degree in a specialist discipline
· A team player with excellent communication skills,
including the ability to write scientific text and present data
· Experience of working in a research team and
contributing ideas for new research projects.

activities. Undertake other laboratory duties as responsibilities of this post.
The post will require travelling to IIT-Kanpur to perform animal experiments.
