Date: 12/02/2019 Advertisement for the following positions in SERB funded extramural research project [EMR/2017/002901]. 

Applications are invited from Indian nationals for the following position in Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), Govt. of India funded extramural research project titled “Diversity pattern, range size distribution and trait composition of butterflies along elevation gradients in the Sikkim Himalaya” sanctioned to the Department of Zoology, Sikkim University. 

Junior Research Fellow 01 

First class Masters Degree in Zoology/ Life Sciences/ Environmental Science/ Environmental management or allied disciplines with NET Experience of working on biodiversity in mountain environment, working knowledge on GIS, ecological modelling, etc. 

Non-NET candidates can apply and will be considered as Junior Project Fellow (JPF) 

Fellowship: Fellowship will be paid as per the norms of the funding agency. 

Duration: Initially for one year but extendable upto three years or up to the termination of project whichever is earlier, subject to annual performance review. The position is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project.
