Two JRFs (Genomics/Bioinformatics) for my new DBT #CRISPR project/grant: “Development of high-throughput genome editing tools for targeted genome-wide knockout mutant recourses in Brassica.” 

Desirable qualifications

1. Prior research or training experience in plant genetic engineering, Genome analysis, NGS data analysis and designing of CRISPR/Cas vector 

2. CSIR-UGC NET/MHRD-GATE/DBT-BET/ICMR-JRF/ARS-NET etc. national level exams conducted by National Agencies/Departments like ICMR, ICAR, DAE, DST, DBT etc.

Job description & Desired Knowledge: Primary responsibility of the selected candidate would be the bioinformatic analysis of next-generation sequencing data. A successful candidate must have proven expertise in R/python/perl. 

Previous experience with bioinformatics/next-generation sequencing is desirable, but not essential. Candidates with a computer science background, without any experience in biology, will also be considered provided they have expertise in coding. Knowledge in statistics is desirable. Basic understanding of biology is a must.
