Candidates are invited for a Walk-in-Interview on May 28, 2019 (Tuesday) at the Department of
Biotechnology (Biotech Building, Haringhata Campus) for the selection of a Senior Research
Assistant for a project entitled "Investigation of the activity of graphene and its derivatives
towards the biological systems with special relevance to C. elegans" sanctioned by the
Department of Higher Education, Science and Technology and Biotechnology, Government of
West Bengal
Interested candidates may appear for an interview on the prescribed day along with a copy of a complete application in plain paper with a bio-data duly signed and self-attested testimonials, and affix a colored photograph of size 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm on the top page of the biodata. Candidates should mention their contact phone numbers and email addresses and carry all originals for verification of the same.
No TA/DA is admissible.
Essential Qualification: M Tech in Biotechnology / Nanotechnology, or M.Sc. in any branch of Life Sciences with a minimum of 12 months of research experience in wet lab.
Desirable: Since the emphasis of the project will be given in two different directions (wet lab experiments) and modelling / simulation or characterization of nanoparticles, using C. elegans as the experimental model, preference shall be given to candidates experienced in the desired fields.
Fellowship: Rs. 21,000 /- per month (consolidated). No separate benefit is admissible
Duration of Fellowship: 3 (Three) Years.
Selection Process: On the basis of interview.
