Post: Senior Research Fellow 

Qualification: MSc (Life Sciences) 

Languages: English and Kannada 

 Location: Bangalore, Karnataka 

Experience: Fresher

Salary: Rs. 28,000 + 10% HRA 

Brief Description about the Project: The innate immune responses in newborns receiving BCG vaccination and in young adults receiving BCG revaccination will be defined and compared at baseline. The immune profiles and array of BCG-induced T and B cells following immunization in infants and young adults will be characterized. 

Core Responsibilities: 

Consenting / recruiting and follow-up of the mothers during pregnancy 
Channelize for blood collection for IGRA test and follow up as per the study protocol until delivery 
Ensure the maternal and infant blood samples are collected on time, processed and stored as per protocol 
Liaise with the social worker and nurse on the completion of the study milestones 
Report generating, and trouble-shooting wherever required 
Willing to do home visits for sample collection 

Key Skills: 

Basic personnel rapport maintaining skills 
Record maintenance and home visits if required 
Basic computer knowledge 
Willing to learn newer techniques Basic knowledge of handling and processing biological samples 

Specific Activities: 

At Hospital OPD - consent & recruitment of pregnant women 
At delivery - recruit infants Ensure that BCG is administered and blood sample collected 
At DON - SJRI - Ensure data completion, entry and interim analysis Channelize home visits on non-OPD days with the SW

Qualification: BSc / MSc (Life Sciences) / Biotechnology with basic computer knowledge 

Languages: English and Kannada 

Location: Bangalore, Karnataka 

Experience: 1-2 years preferably or fresher

Salary: Rs. 25,000 + 10% HRA

Record keeping 
Data entry and channelizing the study follow up as per the study protocol 
Process and store the blood sample for further immunological assays 
Channelize adult and infant studies Day-to-day reporting to Dr. Dias 
Generating report and interim analysis 

Key Skills:
