HIGH THROUGHPUT SCREENING : JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOW/ TECHNOLOGY ASSOCIATE/ RESEARCH ASSOCIATE
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
B. Tech or Master's degree in discipline of life sciences with 1-5 years of work experience
Candidate must be GATE or CSIR qualified or cleared any of the national level exams if applying for JRF
Substantial experience with Assay development; high throughput screening with purified proteins /cell-based assay using small molecule libraries is essential
Experience with cell culture, cell biology techniques, molecular biology techniques, site directed mutagenesis, protein expression and purification is essential
JOB DESCRIPTION
Support chemical biology efforts underpinning new lead discovery efforts by providing high throughput biology expertise including, but not limited to the following;
Proficient in protein purification, biochemistry, enzymology, assay development, lab automation and HTS
High throughput screening assays and application of various _in vitro _techniques
Specific experience with biochemical and cell based assays applying luminescence, fluorescence, TR-FRET, FP and alpha screen assays
HTS sample processing, data generation, data interpretation and data reporting
Responsible for conducting _in vitro_ cell based experiments etc. as and when required
Assist in maintenance of HTS compound/sample libraries and maintenance of good laboratory practices in work environment
DUTIES AND JOB FUNCTIONS
Understanding of modern high throughput screening assay technologies
Experience in using laboratory automation equipment
Computer skills with experience in data analysis
Must be detail oriented, well organized, and have strong communication skills
Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment
