1. CDC project on “Countrywide Surveillance for Anthrax in Livestock and Mastitis in Cattle for Protecting and Improving Health Globally: Building and Strengthening Public Health Impact, System, Capacity” (Anthrax Component) 

Project Assistant (One Position) 

BVSc OR MSc in Microbiology/ Biotechnology/ Bioinformatics/ Public health/ Biochemistry/ Statistics/ Life Science in any branch from recognized university with research experience in relevant subject with NET qualified 

1. Animal handling and clinical sample collection 
2. Interest in frequent travel to distant study areas 
3. Knowledge on basic Microbiological techniques/medicine/therapy 
4. Preference for person with laboratory working experience on Anthrax 
5. Good communication/Computer skills and spoken regional languages (Kannada/Hindi/Tamil/Telugu) 

Rs.25000/- Consolidated Per month

2. “Does antimicrobial resistance (AMR) in livestock contribute to AMR in people in NE India. An interdisciplinary study investigating antibiotic use, drivers of AMR, and transmission dynamics” (INDO-UK) 

Research Associate I– (One Position) 

PhD OR 
Master’s degree in Veterinary Extension/Dairy Extension/Animal Husbandry Extension/Veterinary preventive medicine/Veterinary Public Health & Epidemiology / Veterinary Epidemiology /Agricultural Economics/Dairy Economics/Livestock Economics/Agricultural Extension/Agricultural Extension Education having 3 years research, teaching and design and development experience with at least 1 research papers in Science Citation Indexed (SCl) journal. 

• Needed to co-ordinate the activities with the project staff located in four sites in (Guwahati, Assam) with the lead Centre (ICAR-NIVEDI), Bangalore. 
• The RA will co-ordinate with the Principal investigator, in developing survey instrument, pilot testing, conducting main surveys in collaboration with the field SRF/JRF at different intervals. 
• Further, involve in implementation of intervention strategies, collection of data on the impact interventions; data validation, feeding and analysis in consultation with PI of the project. 
• Ready to travel to project sites other places in India for extracting the work 

Remuneration Rs. 36000/- Plus HRA per month (As per GOI Rules)

4. Institute Project on Surveillance of Ovine brucellosis with reference to Brucella Ovis 

Young Professional – II (One Position) 

Post Graduate in Agricultural Science OR Graduate degree holder in Veterinary Science 

In the event of non-availability of suitable candidates with above mentioned qualification, candidates with M.Sc. in Biotechnology/Micro Biology/Biochemistry will be considered keeping in view of time bound nature of project work. Experience in cloning, sequencing, Elisa, PCR, Proteomics will be preferred.

Desired: MVSc/MSc Agri OR BVSc/BVSc&AH/BTech/BE/Bsc Agri and any other Professional degree OR MSc with NET (CSIR-UGS, ICAR etc) In the event of non-availability of suitable candidates with above mentioned qualification, keeping in view of the time bond nature of the project candidates with MSc in Biotechnology/Micro Biology/Biochemistry/other Biological Science/Genetics will be considered Laboratory experience in DNA cloning and expression, experience doing ELISA, PCR, SDS-PAGE is desired.

7. Institute Project on Immunoepidemiological characterization of respiratory viral persistence in Pigs 

Young Professional – II (One Position)

A Walk-in interview One positions of each Project Assistant, Senior Research Fellow, Research Associate-I. Four positions of Young Professional-II, under various projects will be held on 16.07.2019 at 11.AM in ICAR-National Institute of Veterinary Epidemiology and Disease Informatics, Yelahanka, Bengaluru-560 064 and all the positions are co-terminus with the respective projects. Candidates are required to bring testimonials in original and one set of self-attested copies of testimonials & one passport size color photo along with completed application form (which may be downloaded from the website https://nivedi.res.in/node/1228), at the time of interview.
