Junior Research Fellow — 1 position


Project Title: “Development of Novel Auto Circulate Bio-Electrochemical Reactor (AutoCirBER) for Energy Positive Continuous Wastewater Treatment”.

Funded By: Department of Science and Technology (Govt. Of India) (DST- ASEAN- India Collaborative R&D scheme)

Project Coordinator: Dr. Abhilasha Singh Mathuriya

Age limitation: 28 Years; Age relaxation: According to Govt. of India rules. 

Duration of the project: Two years

Fellowship: As per DST norms (Rs. 31,000 + 10% HRA per month)

Essential Qualification:

(i) M.Sc. in Environmental Science or Biotechnology from recognized University / Institute OR B.E. / B. Tech. / M.E. / M. Tech. (Biotechnology / Environmental Engineering/ Chemical Engineering) with 60% marks or equivalent grade from a recognized university/institute 
(ii) NET / GATE / some other pertinent equivalent of test qualified.

(iii) Candidate should have a valid Indian passport. 




Desirable: Knowledge and experience in wastewater treatment plants and electrochemical purification of water. 

Job Requirement: The incumbent may be required to go overseas for some time. The project will also involve some field sampling and surveys of wastewater treatment plants. 

Tenure of Fellowship: Initially 6 months, renewable up to maximum 2 years based on satisfactory performance, but in no case beyond the cessation of funding or operation of this project by the project financing agency, whichever is earlier.
