Notification for Empanelment of Adjunct Professors in various disciplines

Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies (KUFOS) is a premier University of this kind in
India to offer various undergraduate and post graduate studies in fisheries and ocean studies.
Now, KUFOS is invited application for the selection of Adjunct Professors to following courses.
2. M.Sc Marine Biology
6. M.Sc Biotechnology
How to apply
CVs along with copies of Under Graduate, P.G and PhD certificates, proof of experience and age
certificates are invited from professionals, experts, officials and managers having experience of
working in: 1. Teaching and research organizations supported by bodies like ICAR, ICSSR, CSIR,
ICMR, DRDO, Central and State Universities, etc. 2. Central and state public sector undertakings
(PSUs), business corporations, NGOs and professional associations. 3. Civil servants (IAS / IPS /
officials from Central and Provincial Services) and professionals & officials from professional
councils and statutory bodies like UGC and AICTE, both serving and retired.
Engagement Modalities: 1. Qualifications: Candidate for adjunct faculty should satisfy the
following norms:- a) For Conventional Higher Education Courses: i) Should have the minimum
qualifications as prescribed in the regulations framed by ICAR / UGC from time to time. OR ii) A
person of eminence with or without a postgraduate or Ph.D. qualifications. b) For Skill based
Courses: i) Should be an accomplished professional / expert in his chosen field of discipline and
may not necessarily possess qualifications prescribed under ICAR/UGC regulations. In addition
to the above, it is expected that the adjunct faculty in both the above streams would be an
accomplished scholar in his area of specialization and his association would add value to the
academic programmes he is associated with.
Remuneration :Adjunct Professors: Senior Professors/Technocrats/Managerial professionals/
Scientists equivalent to Professor grade (including retired) who are willing to serve the
University on a regular basis like other Professors in the University will be engaged in
specialized and emerging fields of specialization for a period up to 3 years. He/She will be
provided with a remuneration of Rs. 50,000/- ( Rs. Fifty Thousand only) per month.
