Interested eligible candidates are requested to apply and appear before a selection committee on

Campus), 35, Ballygunge Circular Road, Kolkata-700019 for recruitment of one Junior
Research Fellow for the project titled ‘Understanding genetic structure of the aboriginal
Lepcha tribe from Darjeeling Hills’, (sanctioned number CRG/2018/001727), funded by the
Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), DST, Government of India. under the
guidance of Dr. Rakesh Tamang (PI), Department of Zoology, University of Calcutta and Prof.
Gyaneshwer Chaubey, Banaras Hindu University (Co-PI).
Duration of the project: Three Years.
Essential Eligibility and qualification required for JRF: Post-Graduate degree in any branch
of life sciences with at least 60% marks from UGC recognized University.
Desirable qualification: NET / SET/ GATE
Fellowship: Rs. 32,500/- pm for the first two years and Rs. 36,400/- for the third year
Upper Age limit: 28 years.
