Advertisement for JRF position in research project funded by ‘ICMR’

Applications are invited for one position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in a research project funded by Indian Council for Medical Research (ICMR), Govt of India, at the L & T Microbiology Research Centre, Vision Research Foundation, Chennai. The proposed project will present the candidate with a unique opportunity to dissect mechanisms of Dengue pathogenesis and study potential therapeutic targets.

Title of the project: Retinal vascular permeability in Dengue virus infection: pathogenesis and evaluation of protective effects of vascular stabilizing agents

Principal Investigator: Dr. A.R. Anand , Senior Associate Professor, L & T Microbiology Research Centre, Vision Research Foundation, Chennai.



Duration of the project: Three years*

Eligibility: M.Sc./M.Tech in Life Sciences, preferably with one year of research experience. Candidates should have qualified NET (CSIR-UGC) or GATE or any other national eligibility examination. Previous research experience in cell culture/virology and molecular biology will be an added advantage. Candidates should possess good communication and writing skills.

Age Limit: Not more than 28 years as on 10.10.2019. Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PH candidates will be as per Govt. of India norms.

Fellowship: A stipend of Rs 31,000 and 24% HRA per month (as per ICMR norms).
