Applications are invited from interested candidates to work as a Research fellow/associate under a project to investigate the “Role of autophagy in the pathogenesis of pterygium disease. The position is purely on a temporary basis for a period of 1 year with the possibility for further extension and to register for PhD upon fulfilling the necessary requirements.


Name of the post: Research Fellow/associate

Duration: Initially for one year and can be extended by two more years.

Qualifications: M.Sc. in Biological Sciences/Life Sciences/Bio medical Science

Experience: Cell and Molecular biology/ Biochemistry/ Cloning and Gene Expression studies/ Cell culture. Candidates with publications will be given preference.

Other selection criteria:

• Interest in working towards a PhD degree in a specialist discipline
• A team player with excellent communication skills, including the ability to write scientific text and present data
• Experience of working in a research team and contributing ideas for new research projects.
