The Department of Biotechnology, Government of India has sanctioned a project entitled ‘DBT Programme Support for Macromolecular Engineering & Design’.

The implementing Universities are Anna University (Coordinator: P. Gautam, Centre for Biotechnology, Anna University – Chennai, Chennai) and Madurai Kamaraj University (Co-Leader: S. Krishnaswamy, School of Biotechnology,
Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai).

Applications are invited for Junior Research Fellows at the Centre for Biotechnology, Anna University – Chennai, Chennai.

The broad areas of research under this project are:
1. Screening and Engineering of Enzymes.
2. Computational Strategies for Understanding Protein Structure & Function.
3. Novel Immobilization Strategies for Enzymes especially on Bacterial and Viral Surfaces.
4. Screening and Isolation of Hydrolases from UASB Reactor.

Eligibility : Master’s Degree in any Branch of Science and Technology
Desirable : CSIR/UGC/DBT/ICMR/ICAR/NET/Fellowship/Lecturership

Fellowship : Rs 12,000 + HRA
