PhD studentship in Bioinformatics (1 position) at Institute of Bioinformatics (IOB), Bangalore, which integrates multi-disciplinary expertise on biomarker research. The student will work on one of the following projects: Integrative analysis of high-throughput "omics" data, including next- (NGS) and third-generation sequencing, genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics identify diagnostic, predictive and prognosis biomarkers for cancer, development of novel methods to process NGS data, and construction of data bases to manage biomedical data.


1. M.Sc. in Bioinformatics

2. Candidates must have expertise in Unix/Linux operating systems and shell scripting, and have experience with programming languages including Perl or Python.

3. Candidates must have secured JRF funding from CSIR-UGC, DBT and BINC

Only candidates who can relocate to Bangalore may apply.
