QUALIFICATION :
Essential Qualification for Reader
Good academic record with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade at the Master's Degree level in the relevant subject, followed by a doctoral degree or equivalent published work.
Five years experience of teaching as Lecturer or equivalent at U.G./P.G. level in the Scale of pay of Rs. 8000-275-13,500/- and / or research excluding the period spent for obtaining the research degrees and has made some mark in the areas of scholarship as evidenced by quality of publications, contribution to educational innovation, design of new courses and curricula.
Essential Qualification for Lecturer
Good academic record with at least 55% of the marks or an equivalent grade at the Master’s Degree level in the relevant subject from an Indian University, or equivalent degree from a foreign University.
NET shall remain the compulsory requirement for appointment as Lecturer for those with post-graduate degree. However, the candidates having Ph.D degree in the concerned subject are exempted from NET. A relaxation of 5 % of the marks may be provided at the Master’s Degree level for the SC/ST category and for Ph.D. degree holders who have passed their Master’s Degree prior to 19th September 1991.
